Job Overview
Location: Cardiff
As a Despatch Operative, your role involves delivering a professional, secure, and efficient service to ensure the accurate receipt, handling, and distribution of daily sales orders, meeting all customer requirements promptly and completely. The working schedule entails five days out of seven days per week, with shifts running from 2 pm to 10:30 pm. This position offers several attractive benefits:

Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize a “Safety First” approach consistently, proactively engaging in hazard reporting, and collaborating with despatch coordinators and FLMs to aim for Zero Harm.
- Adhere to site/department instructions, training, procedures, and guidelines.
- Exhibit flexibility in performing various tasks within the despatch operation, which may include order picking, decanting, loading, unloading, and product control. Display openness and eagerness to acquire and enhance new skills.
- Attain the performance targets defined, with measurement conducted by the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other supportive systems and metrics.
- Take ownership of personal development, making sure to apply and enhance knowledge and skills. Maintain a positive, can-do attitude in all work, consistently reflecting the Company’s Values.
- Actively participate in maintaining site standards and engaging in both internal and external audits.
Foster and nurture effective relationships with other teams on-site, promoting cross-functional collaboration and achieving optimal function performance.
Qualification
- Prior experience in a warehousing and distribution setting.
- Possession of external FLT licenses is advantageous.
- Proficiency with PC operations.
- Competency in using Warehouse Management Systems.
- Strong numeracy and literacy capabilities.
- Effective interpersonal skills and a strong team-oriented mindset.
- Punctual, organized, and possessing good communication abilities.
