Job Description

If the shifts for this position include hours earlier than 6 am or later than 11 pm, candidates must be at least 18 years old.

In addition to the advertised hourly rate, we pay a nightshift premium of £2.45 for every hour worked between midnight and 5 am, where applicable.

Your responsibility will be to ensure that every customer order runs smoothly and seamlessly. Whether you’re working behind the scenes or selecting products on the shop floor, you’ll play a crucial role in creating exceptional Sainsbury’s experiences. From the moment customers place their orders on our website to when their shopping is loaded onto our delivery vehicles, you’ll work to impress our customers and keep them coming back.

As an Online Assistant, you might work on the shop floor, carefully picking customers’ orders and selecting high-quality products, just as if you were shopping for yourself. You’ll assemble each order with precision, ensuring customers receive exactly what they’ve requested. If any items are unavailable, you’ll choose the closest match to ensure customer satisfaction.

Alternatively, you could assume a more general role, mastering the various tech systems we use to ensure. We deliver all online orders on time and in excellent condition. You’ll interact with customers over the phone, process orders through the tills, and collaborate with our online Drivers to load their vans for efficient deliveries, all as part of a unified team.
