At Cosentino, we are in search of a Warehouse Worker based in Stanstead, Quebec. This role presents the chance to work in a growing multinational setting, with a multitude of exciting projects you can become involved in. Additionally, we’re currently providing newly hired warehouse workers with a retention bonus.
Your Responsibilities
We are in need of a warehouse worker to support our operations in our Natural Stone Slab Yard warehouses. This role is essential in enhancing our efficiency and elevating customer satisfaction. As a warehouse worker, your daily tasks encompass preparing merchandise, managing the reception and processing of incoming stock and materials, as well as loading and unloading trucks and containers. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for organizing, staging, and preparing finished products for shipping, ensuring the effective distribution of Cosentino products.
To excel in this role, you must possess the ability to follow instructions and maintain an organized workflow. In this position, you’ll collaborate with various fronts, including Manufacturing, Production, and Distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading products onto trucks, flatbeds, or containers.
- Efficiently moving products within the warehouse using equipment like forklifts or overhead cranes.
- Preparing Metal A-frame return shipments.
- Skillfully repairing and rebuilding Wooden A-frames for LTL shipments.
- Managing waste disposal from containers to dumpsters.
- Vigilantly inspecting all incoming and outgoing products for damages and reporting any issues for quality control.
- Operating in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area while adhering to Health and Safety processes and procedures.
Qualifications for Success
Professional Experience:
Required:
- At least 2 years of previous warehouse experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with various warehouse equipment such as cranes, overhead cranes, forklifts, and the like.
Desired:
- Preferred experience within the industry.
Education:
Desired:
- Holding a High School Diploma or GED.
Skills:
Required:
- The capability to carry and lift objects weighing up to 80 lbs.
- Willingness and physical ability to stand for extended periods, often exceeding 8 hours a day.
- Proficiency in working under pressure within a fast-paced work environment.
