This position is ideal for individuals with experience in construction or manufacturing, particularly builders and general laborers.
As a Builder/General Laborer, your responsibilities will involve the assembly of building material components for wall panel production within the shop. This includes tasks such as material positioning, clamping, splicing, fitting parts, and utilizing both manual and power tools in a manufacturing shop environment, as well as in construction.
The Builder/GL plays a vital role in Structural Truss Systems’ production manufacturing team by assembling trusses in accordance with Standard Work Operating Procedures.

Duties and Obligations:
- Collaborate with fellow builders to prepare the workstation for each order as directed by the Lead Hand.
- Assemble trusses in strict adherence to company procedures, standard work operating procedures, and guidance from the Lead Hand.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of work, materials, and equipment conditions meet the required standards.
- Promptly report any issues or equipment maintenance needs to the Lead Hand.
- Assume responsibility for the safe and proper use of all equipment and machinery, following provided instructions.
- Perform additional production manufacturing tasks as necessary.
- The Builder/GL will report directly to the Lead Hand in the working area.
- Collaborate with other builders as part of a coordinated team effort.
Safety and Well-being:
- This position is located within the confines of a manufacturing facility.
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods (8-10 hour shifts).
- Able to function in a manufacturing shop setting.
- Proficient in lifting, pushing, and pulling objects weighing 50-75 lbs. repetitively.
- Proficient in using hands for grasping, handling, and feeling.
- Frequent engagement in stooping, bending, and stretching.
- Mandatory use of CAS work boots while on the manufacturing floor, as well as designated personal protective equipment (PPE) such as earplugs, safety glasses, and a hi-vis vest.
- Candidates are required to successfully pass pre-employment background checks, including physical fitness testing, as well as drug and alcohol testing.
