In the capacity of a Prep Room Operative, your contribution will significantly enhance the efficiency of our Prep Room operations, guaranteeing that the products and services delivered to our valued customers consistently meet the highest standards. You will also assume a pivotal role in upholding our legal responsibilities and adhering to our company’s established standards. Your efforts will contribute to maintaining a smooth and efficient service while maximizing profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all aspects of your work area to establish a professional, secure, and hygienic work environment. This includes ensuring a seamless workflow within the warehouse and assessing the quality and appearance of the final product before dispatch to customers.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of and safe utilization of prep room tablets and systems.
  • Strictly adhere to food safety regulations to maintain the highest standards of product safety and quality.
  • Implement daily stock rotation for all produce to maintain freshness.
  • When workloads permit, provide assistance to your fellow colleagues.
  • Establish and maintain clear lines of communication with prep room management and your colleagues.
  • Promptly report any equipment faults or damage following company protocols.
  • Familiarize yourself with both company and statutory Health & Safety, Security, and Emergency Procedures.
  • Uphold operational standards at the highest level, encompassing service quality, cleanliness standards, and waste reduction.

Your Requirements:

  • As a part of the team, reliability and strong teamwork skills are vital.
  • Effective communication and an enthusiastic, can-do approach are essential.
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines with acute attention to detail is necessary.
  • Full training and suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be furnished.
  • This position is conveniently accessible from Nelson, Colne, Barnoldswick, Earby, Burnley, and Accrington, with easy access to the M65.
