Job Goals and Duties

The main goal of this role is to ensure the accurate collection and delivery of clean and soiled items between the Laundry Store, Changerooms, Sellafield Site, and LLWR.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct vehicle checks at the beginning of each day in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Document any vehicle faults on the vehicle checklist and promptly report them to the Changeroom Manager.
  • Load and unload the Laundry Vehicle at the Non-Active Laundry site, adhering to company policies, site security protocols, and health and safety requirements.
  • Load and unload the Laundry Vehicle at the Medium-Active Laundry site, following company policies, site security, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Load and unload the Laundry Vehicle at various Changerooms situated across Sellafield Site and LLWR, ensuring compliance with company policies, site security, and health and safety protocols.
  • Load Laundry Cages in preparation for transfer onto the Laundry Vehicle.
  • Load and unload Laundry Cages from the Laundry Vehicle to designated loading areas using the lift and lower tail lift.
  • Ensure the efficient delivery and distribution of Laundry items to and from the Laundry and Changerooms.
  • Provide assistance in store activities.

Personnel Qualifications

  • Previous background in stock control.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and secure operational methods.
  • Notable emphasis on customer service.
  • Unblemished driver’s license with class C / C+E.

Health and Safety Obligations

  • Consistently adhere to Group and company regulations and protocols.
  • Promptly report any visible deficiencies in work processes or equipment that could result in service delivery disruptions or pose risks to health, safety, or the environment.
  • Properly utilize all work machinery and personal protective gear in accordance with the training received.
  • Notify your Line Manager of any concerns or training requirements, or utilize your divisional incident reporting system.

Security of Information

  • Maintain adherence to Mitie’s information security procedures throughout all tasks.
  • Take a proactive approach to recognize and inform your manager about potential security risks.
  • Report both confirmed and suspected security incidents.
