Operations Positions and Goals:
We are in search of Operations team members to become a part of our workforce at Kalesnikoff. We are interested in individuals who wish to embark on a journey of professional growth within a production setting. This involves receiving training across diverse workstations within our two facilities situated between Castlegar and Nelson, BC, allowing you to offer assistance wherever it’s required.
Work Schedule:
- Weekends: Friday to Sunday, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Weekdays: Monday to Thursday, with alternating 10-hour shifts every two weeks:
- Dayshift from 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Evening shift from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM.
Qualifications:
- Completion of high school or possession of a General Equivalent Diploma (GED).
- While not mandatory, having one year of experience in a manufacturing environment with machinery is advantageous.
- A dedicated commitment to workplace safety is essential.
- Demonstrated flexibility in approaching job tasks and a readiness to assist other departments when necessary.
- Proficiency in interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Access to reliable transportation is a requirement.
- Quick learner with the ability to apply acquired knowledge to daily tasks.
- Prior experience in lumber manufacturing or heavy industrial settings would be a valuable addition.
Physical Requirements and Working Environment:
- Capable of repetitively lifting and carrying loads weighing 20-40 lbs for extended periods, spanning 8 to 12 hours a day.
- Able to lift and carry loads of up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment.
