Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials to various locations.
 - Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
 - Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines and optimize efficiency.
 - Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle, reporting any issues.
 - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
 - Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
 - Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers, providing updates on delivery status.
 - Handle paperwork, such as bills of lading and delivery receipts.
 
Credentials/Qualifications:
- Driver’s License: A valid and appropriate driver’s license for the type of vehicle being operated (driver’s license, Class 3 /3F/DF A).
 - Clean Driving Record: A clean driving record with no significant traffic violations or accidents.
 - Experience: Previous truck driving experience may be required, and experience in the specific type of truck or equipment used in the job could be an asset.
 - Physical Fitness: Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting and carrying heavy loads and sitting for extended periods.
 - Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, including the ability to communicate with dispatch, coworkers, and customers.
 - Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and safe cargo handling.
 - Map Reading and Navigation: Proficiency in map reading and navigation, including the use of GPS systems.
 
Experience:
- Reports of accidents or incidents, driver’s logbook, and inspection reports (including pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip)
