Job Duties and Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe and efficient handling of both Porter and Porter customer aircraft from a ramp handling perspective.
- Prioritize safe and punctual performance while upholding an exceptional standard of customer service.
- Guarantee that all ramp personnel adhere to the proper safety procedures specified in the Porter Ramp Manual.
- Take responsibility for the secure execution of all ramp-related functions on both Porter and Porter customer aircraft.
- Perform aircraft marshalling.
- Handle baggage operations.
- Manage the handling of Comat and Catering Supplies.
- Oversee lavatory servicing.
- Supervise potable water servicing.
- Execute aircraft push backs and towing when necessary.
- Actively engage in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS), which involves reporting any encountered hazards and incidents during daily operations, as well as understanding, adhering to, and advocating for the Company Safety Policy.
Requirements
- Possess a valid Ontario (or equivalent from out of town) driver’s license of G2 level or higher with a clean driving record (having 3 demerit points or fewer).
- Successfully complete a medical evaluation, which includes a drug test.
- Demonstrate the ability to acquire and maintain necessary security clearances.
- Eligibility to work on a permanent basis in Canada.
- Be willing to work rotating shifts, including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Exhibit reliability with a clear attendance record and consistent punctuality for work.
- The applicant will be required to successfully complete the training program.
- Capable of regularly lifting, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to 70 pounds.
